The naval officers urged the students to serve the country and contribute to nation building by joining the Armed forces, according to a press release issued by the Press Information Bureau (Defence Wing) on Thursday.

The naval team elaborated on the importance and roles of the armed forces and motivated the enthusiastic participants on the values of dedication, hard work and discipline in order to succeed in life.

The response to the motivational interaction was overwhelming and the students were looking forward to serve the nation. The young minds were also keen to learn about various entry schemes for joining the armed forces and the Indian Navy in particular, the release said.

The Indian Navy celebrates Navy Week across the country every year and December 4 was marked as the Navy Day to commemorate the attack on Pakistan’s naval assets in Karachi by the Indian Navy and the remarkable victory of India over Pakistan during the 1971 war.
