Trio attacks crew, flees with mini-van

According to police, Neelakandaraja (29), son of Narayanasamy of Kanniyakumari district, was ferrying wooden furniture in a mini-van from Bangalore to Chennai. Sivabalan (53) from the same district was the cleaner.

On the way they stopped the vehicle near Pallikonda around 2 am to answer nature’s call. Meanwhile, three masked men, who came in an auto, assaulted Neelakandaraja and Sivabalan before fleeing with the mini-van. The mini-van crew later lodged a complaint with the Pallikonda police, who registered a case and began investigations.
