I-T officials to question Sasikala on December 13, 14
A team of Income-Tax officials from Chennai has sought permission to question VK Sasikala, close confident of the late AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa, on December 13 and 14 in the prison in Bengaluru, sources said.

In November 2017, the I-T Department had conducted multi-city raids as part of its Operation Clean Money and detected undisclosed income of Rs 1,430 crore, allegedly linked to Sasikala clan.
The five-member I-T team is expected to confront Sasikala with findings of the raids when it meets her in Parapana Agrahara prison next week.
“We have received a letter from Income- Tax Department in Tamil Nadu, seeking permission to question Sasikala in an I-T matter on December 13 and 14,” Jail Superintendent Somashekhar said.
In one of the biggest raids and searches in the state, investigators had swooped down on offices of Jaya TV, Namadhu MGR, Jazz Cinemas, Kodanad retreat estate of the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, Midas Distilleries and scores of premises belongings to people close to Sasikala, now jailed in connection with the disproportionate wealth case, in the first week of November last year. Sasikala’s brother V Dhivakaran and KS Sivakumar, who is Sasikala’s kin and was the personal physician of late J Jayalalaithaa, were among those who were questioned.
