Observing that it has been over a year since the Court had sought for a reply, a division bench comprising Justices on Monday said, “The Government Pleader prays last opportunity to file comprehensive report as indicated in the earlier order dated November 26.

We make it clear that unless the report is filed by the next date of hearing the authority concerned may be required to deposit the specified amount by way of security from his personal resources in this court.” The bench then posted the case for further hearing to January 7, 2019.

The petitioner T S Mani had contended that contrary to the GO the silted soil is being transported to brick industries in Andhiyoor and Bhavani in Erode.
