The crime came to light after a local NGO held a camp at the school last Saturday to spread awareness against sexual abuse .
During the programme, instructors asked the students if they had faced any situation in which they were sexually abused and were advised to come forward and talk to their teachers if they wanted to share any such experience. It was then that the two boys came forward and told the teachers that they had been sexually abused by three youth in the locality since May.
The boys told their class teachers about it on Monday and she informed the headmistress who apprised the boys’ parents of the situation. The parents, with the help of the NGO which conducted the awareness camp, filed a complaint with the Saidapet police on Tuesday.
The police then managed to nab the three suspects aged 20, 24 and 20.
