Australian Edu Minister honours students’ achievement in Tamil exam
Two Australia-based students, who secured first and second place in Tamil language exam that was conducted by the Education Standard Authority there, were honored by the Australian Education Minister on Wednesday.

Harishna Celvavinayagan stood first by securing 95 marks followed by Preethi Sakthi Sivabalan, who came second with 94 marks in the Tamil language exam. While Harishna was born in Sri Lanka and settled in Australia and Preethi was born and brought up in the Island continent.
Of the 32 students, who attended the exams, 20 candidates secured grade marks in Tamil language. Both the students, who came first and second, expressed confidence that they would do the needful for development of the Tamil language in Australia. They also urged people with Tamil origin to speak the language whenever possible. Expressing happiness on the achievement, they said that their parents, teachers and friends, who encouraged them to learn the language, were the reason for their success.
