Trains cancelled due to interlocking work

Southern Railway (SR) has announced full and partial cancellation of several trains owing to interlocking work at Faridabad New Town Railway station in Delhi Division of Northern Railway from December 22 to 23, 2018.

According to a release issued by Southern Railway stated, Train no 22659 Kochuveli – Dehradun Weekly Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 8.45 am on 21 December and train no 22660 Dehradun – Kochuveli Weekly Express scheduled to leave Dehradun at 5.50 am on 24 December have been cancelled.


Train no 12626 New Delhi – Thiruvananthapuram Kerala Express commencing journey on 22 and 23 December will be diverted run via Chipyana Buzurg, Khurja, Mitawal and Agra Cantonment. Train no 16032 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Chennai Central Andaman Express commencing journey on 21 and 22 December will be diverted run via Rohtak, Asthal Bohar, Rewari, Alwar and Mathura.


Train no 12622 New Delhi – Chennai Central Tamil Nadu Express commencing journey on 22 and 23 December will be diverted run via Chipyana Buzurg, Khurja, Mitawal and Agra Cantonment. Train no 12618 Hazrath Nizamuddin – Enakulam Mangala Lakshadweep Express commencing journey on 23 December will be diverted run via Chipyana Buzurg, Khurja, Mitawal and Agra Cantonment.


Train no 12617 Ernakulam – Hazrath Nizamuddin Mangala Lakshadweep Express commencing journey on 20 and 21 December will be diverted run via Agra Cantonment, Mitawal, Khurja and Chipyana Buzurg. Train no 12625 Thiruvananthapuram - New Delhi Kerala Express commencing journey on 20 and 21 December will be diverted run via Agra Cantonment, Mitawal, Khurja and Chipyana Buzurg.


Train no 12484 Amrithsur – Kochuveli Weekly Express commencing journey on 23 December will be diverted run via New Adershnagar, Delhi Cantonment, Rewari and Khutba.


EMU service affected

EMU Services were affected for half an hour after an EMU halted in Pallavaram following technical snag on Wednesday. The Tambaram-Beach EMU departed from Tambaram at 8.10 am. At 8.25 after reaching Pallavaram railway station, the EMU developed a technical snag and stopped. Railway sources said that smoke began to generate from the train engine. However, the loco pilot tried to rectify the fault. Later, engineering team from Tambaram reached the spot and repaired it. At around 8.50 the EMU service began.
