Fans moot Nammavar TV after Rajini’s plan, Kamal camp denies such move

‘Nammavar TV’ was trending on Twitter after many supporters of Kamal’s Makkal Needhi Maiam started flouting the name as an equal to Rajinikanth’s Rajini TV and Thalaivar TV. “With Kamal sir’s knowledge and understanding of media, it makes apt sense for him to start a channel. It will be a perfect mix of infotainment. If anyone can make a new channel work in his highly competitive time, it is him. He is savvy and well tuned-in to the interests of the public,” said Kamalesh, a fan of the actor and MNM supporter on Twitter.

However, a source from Kamal’s camp denied any such measure was being considered presently, as the 64-year-old is busy preparing to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Rajinikanth had said that the move was to prevent any third parties from starting a channel in those names, and that it was done as a measure to stop such efforts by others.
