A division bench comprising Justice N Kirubakaran and Justice Abdul Quddhose before whom the submission was made sought to know from the counsel as to how Deepa had failed to stake claim for the properties while it was the AIADMK members who moved the plea seeking to appoint an administrator to manage her properties.
To this, the counsel reiterated that the AIADMK on realising that Deepa, being the legal heir of Jayalalithaa alone could hold AIADMK together, was creating such tight spots by moving a string of litigations to force her to join the AIADMK.
However, with the counsels appearing for Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate seeking more time to file the details pertaining to the assets and liabilities of the former Chief Minister, the case was posted to January 23 for further hearing.
