Two killed in separate accidents

Elappan (60), a retired employee of Aavin of Kannigapuram near Ambur, was trying to cross the Chennai – Bengaluru NH during the early hours on Tuesday when he was fatally knocked down by a government bus. Prabhu (32), the bus driver, has been arrested.

In another case, Thannarasu (22) an employee of a private gas agency from Pallandukukppam near Jolarpet was returning home on a two-wheeler when he was hit by a Natrampalli-bound private bus from Vaniyambadi. Thannarasu, who was rushed to the hospital, succumbed to injuries.
