Shanmugam: Is Stalin ready to face probe into Batcha death?
In the backdrop of allegations flying thick on the Kodanadu case, State Law Minister CVe Shanmugam on Sunday counter questioned DMK president MK Stalin whether he is ready to face a CBI inquiry into Sadhik Batcha death case.

Speaking to reporters at ‘Thalikku Thangam’ function in Tindivanam, Shanmugam said, “If there is suspicion in the deaths, there is also suspicion in the deaths of Anna Nagar Ramesh and Sadhik Batcha. Is Stalin ready to face a CBI inquiry into their deaths?”
Shanmugam said that the video was morphed and released with the intention to malign the government and the AIADMK. “Opposition parties and especially Stalin, is behind the incident. He will release a statement whenever someone makes any allegations on Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and the government,” said the Law Minister.
He also said that if the accused had any evidence, they can present the evidence in the court. “We have filed a case against them and if they have evidence they can appear in the court. Next trail is of the case is on February 2 and the accused can produce the evidence in the court,” said Shanmugam.
He further said that the AIADMK is not afraid about the case as they were raised by late chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
