PM rallies to be boost for saffron party’s poll work
With just two months left for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 announcement, the BJP is all set to intensify its campaign in Tamil Nadu and has planned to conduct a couple of election rallies to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Prime Minister is slated to address a BJP rally in Madurai on January 27 after laying the foundation stone for All India Institute for Medical Sciences. The BJP leader is on a visit of the state again on February 10 and 19, BJP sources said.
“The dates have been confirmed for PM’s public meeting. But the venue is still doubtful as to whether it is going to be Chennai, Coimbatore or Tiruchy. We will confirm it soon,” said a BJP source.
BJP national president Amit Shah is also to take part in the booth level workers meetings planned in Erode on Monday.
Earlier, BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan told reporters, “The BJP is gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls. Top BJP leaders will visit the state and strengthen the party.”
Reacting to the opposition alliance meeting called by West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamta Banerjee, Tamilisai said that there were confusions among the opposition parties in choosing their PM candidate. “No party is willing to accept Rahul Gandhi as PM candidate. Once when the question of PM candidate arises, the coalition formed by the opposition parties will disintegrate,” Tamilisai said.
Meanwhile,Congress president Rahul Gandhi is also set to address public meetings in the state by the first week of February. Rahul Gandhi will again visit the state for second round of poll campaign.
