TN Government warns JACTO-GEO for 'indefinite strike'
TN Government has warned the office bearers of JACTO-GEO severe consequences for disrupting normal course of government activities.

Tamil Nadu government assured to consider the demands of JACTO-GEO and warned of severe consequences for 'indefinite strike'. JACTO-GEO demands restoration of old pension scheme for government employees who joined after 1.4.2003, pay for secondary grade teachers on par with Central government staffs, payment of 21-month arrears of pay commission recommendation.
JACTO-GEO called off their strike in the month of December, 2018 due to a PIL filed in Madurai Bench of Madras High Court. Since then there was a complete silence from TN government regarding the demands made by them, JACTO-GEO has planned to go on indefinite strike from 22nd of January, 2019 onwards. In order to prevent the strike Tamil Nadu Government has warned the office bearers of severe consequences for disrupting normal course of government activities.
