Rs 8L valuables stolen from house in Minjur

The house of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board employee was break open and valuables worth of Rs 8 lakh were stolen, police said.

Sekar (46), an employee of the electricity board from Babu Nagar in Minjur, had went out along with his family. After the information from his neighbours that his home was wide open, Sekar rushed home. He found that the door and the locker was break open and the valuable were stolen.


Nearly 5 sovereigns of gold, 3kgs silver, silk sarees, credit cards and Rs 45,000 were stolen by the gang. The total worth of the missing valuables is around Rs 8 lakh, police said. Minjur police registered a case and are investigating.
