Two arrested for harassing teenager

Mallika (name changed), 18, from Pallpattu had gone to her neighbour’s home on Sunday night to attend a function. The Chevapet police said that she has been allegedly harassed by the men at the function. Police said that when the young woman protested and threatened to complain to her parents, the two accused pushed her down resulting in the latter being injured. 

The mother of the victim filed a complaint with the police following which the two accused, Vincent (23) and Prasad (23), both of whom belonged to the same neighbourhood were arrested. Both the accused have been remanded to judicial custody at the Tiruvallur Sub Jail.
