School children visit Indian Coast Guard ships
As part of Indian Coast Guard Week celebrations on theoccasion of 43rd Raising Day, the Coast Guard Ships were thrown open for visits by school children.

A total of 214 and 420 children from different schools visited on board ‘ICGS Sagar’ and ‘ICGS Shaurya’ on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
During the visit, the children were conducted around the ship, enlightening them with key points, specialities, functions of every part of the ship. The children were very keen and enquired about the operations and other specifications of the ship which were well answered by the Coast Guard officials.
Photo board, display equipments, firefighting and armament display were demonstrated on the helo deck. Video clippings and slideshows were shown in the helo hangar to the children, who were also offered refreshments.
The visit ended with a mime show on creating awareness about ‘Child Abuse and Concern for Environment’ by a group of student volunteers, a Defence Release here said.
