TN Budget 2019: Rs 1,985 to be allocated for Pongal cash gift distribution

Tamil Nadu's budget is being presented on Friday by Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who holds the Finance portfolio.

The budget for 2019-20 was started in the House at 10:00 am.

The state Finance Minister started the session with Thirukural and praised the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for her policy based decisions. He highlighted the achievements and milestones happened in Tamil Nadu during the AIADMK governance.

For the most-talked cash gift for Pongal, the Finance Minister announced that Rs 1,985 will be allocated.
