Speaking to newspersons after consoling the family members of slain PMK functionary Ramalingam in Tirubuvanam, Radhakrishnan claimed that the AIADMK-BJP led front would win all the 40 Lok Sabha segments in TN and Puducherry.
“All the States have seen a growth in agriculture and rise in employment opportunities during the past five years of the Central government under PM Modi. This would be the BJP’s focus during the election campaign,” he said.
On MDMK leader Vaiko, Radhakrishnan said, “He used to talk more about the betrayal committed by both the Congress and the DMK to the people of Tamil Nadu. However, he is now aligning with them. Their alliance would have no impact, as people are aware of their agenda,” adding that the entire nation is expecting a Modi-led government to return to power.
The Minister said Tamil Nadu has been witnessing a series of attacks by the extremists. “Ramalingam was murdered for opposing an attempt to convert people. The State government should initiate proper action against those who were behind his brutal killing,” he added.
