TN CM, Deputy CM and party workers remember Jayalalithaa on her birth anniversary

Jayalalithaa was born on February 24, 1948. She died due to cardiac arrest on December 5, 2016.

AIADMK Co-Coordinator and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Party Coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and party workers paid tributes to former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on her 71st birth anniversary by garlanding her statue in the party office at Royapettah here on Sunday.

They also cut a 71 kg birthday cake to mark the occasion and distributed it among all workers.

As per the party coordinator and co-coordinator's statement issued on Saturday, all the party workers took oath on Sunday that they will work hard to achieve victory in all the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies (39 from Tamil Nadu and 1 from Puducherry) and also all assembly seat by-elections.

The AIADMK party workers also planted saplings at Marina beach.
