Following several rounds of discussion, DMK-led alliance finally alloted 1 Lok Sabha and 1 Rajya Sabha seat to MDMK on Tuesday.
DMK also confirmed its alliance with the Marxist Communist party earlier today and shared two seats to the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The DMK on Monday concluded electoral pacts with three other Tamil Nadu parties — the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and the Indhiya Jananayaga Katchi (IJK). As per the sheet sharing agreement, the CPI and the VCK get two seats each while the IJI gets one.
The DMK and the Congress had earlier finalised the seat-sharing deal for the ensuing Parliamentary elections with DMK allocating 10 seats, including Puducherry, to the national party.
