Addressing the women’s day celebrations organised by the party here, Vaiko said, “With the support of corporates, the Modi government wants to turn the fertile Tamil Nadu into a desert. They (BJP) have no other agenda than abolishing the Dravidian ideology. But they would certainly fail as the Dravidian movement was built by the blood shed of many leaders.”

Promising to fight for the Dravidian movement until his last breath, he urged the people to support the DMK for the same cause.

Criticising the BJP-AIADMK alliance, Vaiko said it would ruin the State if elected to power.

Later, speaking to the reporters, Vaiko said, the BJP government poses a big threat to secularism. “The DMK front has been formed to protect secularism. It will protect the national border as well as safeguard Tamil Nadu.”

Condemning the protest by DMDK cadre in front of DMK leader Duraimurugan’s house, Vaiko warned them not to involve in such activities.
