Safeguard burial ground: Protesters
Ponneri residents staged a protest in front of revenue district office on Wednesday demanding the authorities to safeguard their burial ground and cremation centre.

Police said that locals of Attanthangal village near Ponneri claimed that some influential persons were trying grab the land.
They claimed that some people had also got patta. But, protesters left after RDO assured them that steps would be taken.
