AIADMK changes Periyakulam constituency candidate

While the campaigning for Lok Sabha and 18 assembly constituencies is underway, the AIADMK has announced the change of candidate for Periyakulam assembly constituency. The party has replaced Murugan with Mayilvel following the dissatisfaction of the earlier candidate.

The party sources said that Murugan didn't participate in the party meeting held by the coordinator O Panneerselvam.

Already the party confronts setback ahead of election as the heavyweights like Senthil Balaji, Raja Kannappan and Kalairajan joined the rival camp due to internal conflict of the party.

Bypolls would be held in the 18 constituencies of Poonamallee, Perambur, Tiruporur, Sholinghur, Gudiyatham, Ambur, Hosur, Pappireddipapatti, Harur, Nilakkottai, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Manamadurai, Andipatti, Periyakulam, Sattur, Paramakudi and Vilathikulam
