Confiscate MVC.Gel One's cargo ship: Madras High Court

The Madras High Court has ordered to confiscate the ship belonging to MVC.Gel One as it failed to pay the salary to its engineer

The Madras High Court on Friday ordered to confiscate MVC. Gel One's cargo ship for failing to pay one of its engineers.
Justice Vaidyanathan, who heard the petition of one Mathivanan, gave his final judgement in this case.
In this judgement, it was ordered that the cargo ship be confiscated and ordered the organisation to pay 14,833 USD to the registrar of High Court, to release the confiscated ship.
He attended the interview conducted by MVC Gel One, in Navi Mumbai on in 2017. He was appointed on a contract basis for a period 6 months, with a monthly salary of 2,500 USD.
Mathivanan continued his service in the MVC Gel One till April 2018. 
He approached Madras High Court, claiming that his salary is pending for the past 3 months. 
Mathivanan in his petition had said he was paid salary only for 3 months and 8 days and was left unpaid for the remaining 3 months. Hence he requested the court to confiscate the MVC Gel One's cargo that has been standed in Tuticorin Harbour.
