Not Modi, victory in 8 out of 18 can save AIADMK govt, says Dhinakaran
On a day when the AMMK was allotted the ‘gift box’ symbol by the Election Commission, TTV Dhinakaran warned that no power on earth, “neither Modi nor his daddy can save the AIADMK”, if the party fails to win 8 out of the 18 Assembly seats, which would face bypolls on April 18.

Campaigning for Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam’s (AMMK) Vellore parliamentary constituency candidate and former AIADMK minister K Pandurangan, the deputy general secretary of AMMK said that people should realise that the BJP was protecting the AIADMK and now for the elections both the parties have turned into allies, said Dhinakaran.
Criticising both the parties for frequently changing their allies, he appealed to the people to understand that the AMMK was the only son of soil while both AIADMK and DMK have only fielded outsiders.
He said that Tamil Nadu would get relief from the Methane project and NEET only if the BJP at centre and AIADMK at the State are sent home.
Earlier speaking at Walajahpet, Dhinakaran said that had he ‘adjusted with Prime Minister Modi’ he would have become the ChiefMinister
AMMK candidate Pandurangan assured the electorate that if voted to power, he would visit all the six assembly segments on specific days from the first of every month, when parliament was not in session.
Pandurangan promised that he would also ensure supply of Cauvery water to all the villages and strive hard for scrapping of the NEET. He further vowed to make efforts to reopen the closed industrial units in the district and get relief from GST for all.
