The journey of the Educationist, Rebekah Abishek, elucidates that Aachi Global Schools follows International Baccalaureate (IB Curriculum) which focuses on inquiry based learning, where children are encouraged to ask more questions and in turn create an affinity towards learning.
Rebekah reminds her educators that she does not remember any lesson that she learnt in her schooling years, except that she learnt for passing the prescribed exams. However, she still remembers the special moments that she shared with her teachers when they moulded her in the right way.
According to her, every day classroom teaching is not what children would remember, but the way in which you made a difference in their lives surely will. So, Rebekah Abishek decided to go with IB curriculum, where she was able to give her students the full space to inquire. At Aachi Global School, she encourages the students to open up and come out with questions, thereby guiding them in researching and investigating about their topic of interest. This gives them immense sense of learning with eagerness.
Rebakah Abishek says that at Aachi Global School, they involve parents to share about their cultures and experiences with the students. They regularly invite foreign faculties for organising workshops, since she believes that learning about other cultures will make students more motivated to visit and find out what it is really like.
Being curious creates an interest in understanding the similarities and differences between the cultures and also appreciates each other, thus creating students at Aachi Global School with global exposure.
