Campaigning for Sam Paul, the PMK candidate, Anbumani asked, “Do you know where the house of Dayanidhi Maran is. It is in Boat Club area, one of the posh locations in the country. Common man will not even be allowed into the locality. Then how will you meet Dayanidhi, if you elect him as your representative in Parliament.”

On the contrary, Sam Paul being a social worker is easily accessible and would visit the constituency regularly if voted to power. Being a educated person, he would strive to clean the politics.

During the Anbumani’s campaign in the city the absence of AIADMK flags in the venue was blatantly visible and it caught the attention of all the onlookers.

Anbumani commenced his campaign in the city from Choolaimedu and then proceeded to western parts of the city. During the campaign, flags of all the alliance partners were present, except that of the AIADMK.

Only a handful of cadre carried the AIADMK flags, but they too did not seemed to actively participating in the campaign. A group of elderly women, who came to hear Anbumani’s campaign speech, said they were brought to the campaign by the party workers. But, in a shocking punch, the women said they would vote only for the party which gives them money.
