Speaking to reporters, Hyder Ali said, that the BJP was seeking to decimate the Constitution of India. “The hard earned independence from the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the Constitution of India will go to waste if the BJP comes back to power, he said quoting BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj’s claim that there would be no elections in India if BJP came to power, again.
Hyder said, “When the party’s MP spoke with such clarity, it was a real impending threat to democracy,” he said.
Stating that the students and farmers from rural and economically poor background were losing access to loans to pursue farming and education under the BJP’s regime, Hyder Ali claimed that they are very particular to support corporate barons openly make away with thousands of crores in unpaid loans.
Commenting on Dravidar Kazhagam K Veeramani’s reported offensive remarks on Hinduism, he said, “Dravidar Kazhagam is an atheist movement, but we believe in God. We ourselves have ideological differences. In an alliance each party or movement should take responsibility for their actions and statements,” he said and added that he may not owe responsibility for the comments of Veeramani.
