Why no income tax raids in BJP-ruled states: Naidu

Addressing newspersons at the DMK headquarters here, where he met the party’s candidates in the city, Naidu said, “The ECI is misusing I-T department. The searches are conducted only against Telugu Desam Party, DMK, Karnataka CM Kumarasamy, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and the Congress. Is there any I-T raid in BJP-ruled states? How much money are they spending?”

Describing the current election as the costliest in his life time, he said the raids is creating a psychological fear. Targeting the government, Naidu said, “You are derailing all Opposition parties and have misused all democratic institutions.”

Hitting out at the ruling AIADMK, he said, “The party (AIADMK) is not ruling the state in TN and it is ‘ModiMK’. If you vote for the AIADMK, it is a vote to (Narendra) Modi.”
