Balaji keeps election mood alive in Aravakurichi

Immediately after the Election Commission announced by-elections for the four Assembly constituencies in the state, the DMK had declared its candidates for all the four segments. The Aravakurichi candidate V Senthil Balaji commenced his campaign without wasting time for his do or die political game in the DMK.

On Friday, Senthil Balaji began his election campaigning at R Ellapatti village of Aravakurichi constituency along with Congress Karur Lok Sabha candidate S Jothimani, DMK leaders KC Palanisamy, M Chinnasamy, Nanniyur Rajendran and other alliance party functionaries. 

Addressing reporters Senthil Balaji said, the DMK will certainly secure at least 60 per cent of the total votes in Aravakurichi in the upcoming by-election.

“DMK president MK Stalin will become Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after May 23, once the election results of all the 22 Assembly constituencies are announced,” he said. “People have put forth their unfulfilled demands and we will take those to Stalin’s sight and will try to address all of them. We have promised the people of Aravakurichi union villages to solve their water issues by bringing water from Nanganji River that flows around the region and setting up water connections to the houses,” Senthil Balaji added.

While the AIADMK had just called for applications and TTV Dhinakaran is yet to announce his stand on contesting the by-elections, the commencement of political campaign by Senthil Balaji has made the political situations brisk and alive in Karur.

In the evening, he convened the party workers meeting at K-Paramathi in which DMK deputy general secretary I Periasamy was a special invitee.
