Tirupur MNM cadre found dead in party office

According to police, K Balamurugan from Panapalayam in Palladam had left home to MNM party office on Patel Street on Thursday night. “He worked as a booth agent for the party on the polling day. After polling works, he went home, but left again to the party office at night,” police said.

As Balamurugan did not return home even the next day, his wife Vijayakumari, 31, went in search and was shocked to find him lying dead in the party office. On receiving information, the Palladam police sent his body for post mortem.

More than 40 relatives of the deceased person, gheraoed the Palladam police station suspecting mystery in his death. Police convinced them that action would be taken based on the post mortem report.

In her complaint, Vijayakumari claimed that her husband consumed liquor with five of his friends in the party office. “While others left, Balamurugan stayed in the office overnight. But was found dead the next day under mysterious circumstances,” she claimed.
