Stalin starts campaign for four bypolls

Stalin was originally scheduled to launch his bypoll campaign from Wednesday, but he launched his campaign from Ottapidaram on Tuesday itself. After winding up the first round of his campaign on May 9, the DMK president will muster support for his candidates, again from Ottapidram on May 14.

He will spend a day each in all four constituencies, which would be wrapped up at Aravakurichi on May 17. Incidentally, DMK Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi, who is also the party candidate for Thoothukudi Parliamentary seat, joined her party chief and brother Stalin in the campaign on Tuesday morning. The siblings went door to door, meeting the electorate in the rural Assembly segment.
