Campaigning for the second day in Sulur Assembly segment, the DMK leader said that the Speaker had sent disqualification notices to three AIADMK MLAs out of fear that DMK will win.
“Out of fear that DMK’s strength will increase to 119 legislators and would form the government, the Speaker decided to disqualify the three AIADMK MLAs. However, the DMK foiled their plan by moving a no confidence motion against the Speaker,” he said.
Stating that Narendra Modi government would end once the results get declared on May 23, Stalin also sounded confident that the AIADMK government will also fall as the Supreme Court has stayed the disqualification proceedings.
Listing out the DMK’s promises, Stalin said that efforts would be taken to run the high tension towers through alternative routes without affecting the fertile farm lands. “The AIADMK also failed to implement any combined drinking water scheme in the last eight years,” he added.
Taking a dig at Local Administration Minister SP Velumani, the DMK leader said that Velumani would be sent to jail, once DMK comes to power. “We have all evidence to prove his wrong doings,” he said.
Slamming the AIADMK for letting a free hand to perpetrators of crime against women in Pollachi sex scandal issue, Stalin said that DMK will take action against all those involved in the offence. Stalin also walked on several streets and met public while canvassing votes for DMK candidate for Sulur Assembly bypoll Pongalur N Palaniswami.
