None safe under AIADMK rule, says DMK chief at Aravakurichi

DMK president MK Stalin, who campaigned for the party candidate V Senthil Balaji in Aravakurichi on Tuesday for the Assembly segment bypoll, said that the state is not a livable place as no one is safe under the AIADMK government. He referred to the Pollachi and Perambalur sexual abuse cases to prove his point.

Stalin commenced his campaign from Pallapatti in Aravakurichi, which is dominated by minority community by walk. He met the people and requested them to vote for Senthil Balaji for the change in the government.

While addressing a rally, Stalin said that the Aravakurichi Assembly constituency was left as an orphaned child for more than two years without an MLA to represent the people. “Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami was responsible for snatching away your Senthil Balaji’s position as MLA. Senthil Balaji along with 18 other MLAs were disqualified for complaining about the corrupted CM Edappadi Palaniswami,” he said.

“The just over bypolls for 18 Assembly segments would definitely return the DMK and the upcoming bypolls for four segments would also be favourable to the party. This means, we will come to power after May 23,” he said.

Stalin assured that once Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister, a barrage across Cauvery river in Pugalur which has been a long pending demand of the people would become reality. Similarly, a government arts and science college will be built in Aravakurichi, drinking water problem will be solved for Punjai Thottakurichi people, arrangements will be made for water irrigation to Orathai and Thalavapalyam region farmers, TNPL contract labourers’ employments would regularised and loan waiver for all farmers and students will be implemented.

“As Senthil Balaji had earlier announced to provide free plots for 25,000 people in Aravakurichi, this programme will be implemented throughout Tamil Nadu. DMK is committed to fulfill all your requirements,” Stalin stressed.

Karur Lok Sabha Congress Candidate S Jothimani, DMK leaders M Chinnasamy and other party leaders accompanied him.
