OPS, EPS ask people to vote for Two Leaves

In a joint statement the CM and his Deputy listed out the welfare schemes taken up in the state over the past two years, which include the formation of Cauvery Water Management Authority, ban on plastic and purchase of 1,995 new government buses.


In a detailed statement, the AIADMK listed out the welfare schemes and achievements by the AIADMK government in all the government departments. In the 83-year history of Mettur dam, the reservoir is designed for the first time to enhance the carrying capacity. To improve water management, a total of 3,024 lakes has been desilted at a cost of Rs 429 crore, the statement said.


The state also distributed Rs 1,000 as Pongal gift to all the ration card holders and a special assistance scheme of Rs 2,000 for those coming below the poverty line is underway, the AIADMK leaders said in their statement.


Highlighting the welfare measures in other departments, the party leaders urged the voters to support the Two Leaves symbol in May 19 bypolls for Aravakurichi, Tiruparankundram, Sulur and Ottapidaram, the statement added.
