CISF personnel at Chennai airport caught Zia-ul-Haq (19) on suspicion, when he was about to board a flight to Dubai. Investigation revealed that he was a Bangladeshi national. The fake Indian passport in his possession was seized, and based on his confession, the local police arrested three more persons from Bangladesh staying in Thoraipakkam. Zia-ul-Haq, along with Noor Hossain (24), his brother Sahadat Hossain (21) and Mohammad Alamgeer Hossain (23), who were arrested from Thoraipakkam, were handed over to CCB sleuths. All four were remanded in judicial custody. Police told DT Next that the gang reached Odisha via Nepal from Bangladesh and prepared the fake documents and passports there. “They reached Chennai to board flights separately to Dubai, but their plan was foiled,” said an officer.
