TTV set to tour state
Unflinching even after facing defeat in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections and Assembly bypolls, AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran is all set to tour across the state. The party chief aims to secure the desired result of reaching out to the people through the tour.

Speaking at the marriage function of the party’s treasurer M Rengasamy’s son in Thanjavur on Wednesday, Dhinakaran said, “the campaign has commenced on an auspicious day from the sentimental Thanjavur. Those who were thinking that they could politically defeat the AMMK could rejoice as of now. However, we would strive till proving that the future government is AMMK’s.”
He claimed that the AMMK is the only party that has been going forward in the footsteps of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa. He also said that the party would prove its strength at the right moment and the upcoming tour would prove the party’s hold in the state, he stressed.
Despite Dhinakaran was attending a function after the elections for the first time loyalists Thangatamilselvan, Vettrivel and Pugalendhi were absent. However, S Anbalagan, party’s deputy president, P Palaniappan, headquarters secretary and others were present.
When Dhinakaran came out of the stage, he was surprised to witness a large crowd, who were waiting to see him. Dhinakaran commentated in a lighter vein, had the crowd voted for the AMMK, at least the party candidate for Thanjavur would have won.
