A statement issued by DMK general secretary K Anbazhagan on Friday  said that the meeting, to be held at party headquarters ‘Anna Arivalayam’  at 10 am, would be chaired by party president MK Stalin.

All district secretaries, MPs and MLAs were asked to attend the meeting without fail.

Though the agenda of the meeting was to discuss about the steps to be taken for the development of the party, it was expected to decide the strategy to be adopted by the DMK in Parliament and the state Assembly sessions, expected to be convened in the first week of June.

It may be recalled that the DMK, under the leadership of Stalin, faced its first test —the recent Lok Sabha and Assembly bypolls to 22 seats —and emerged victorious in 37 of 38 Parliamentary seats and 13 in the Assembly bypolls.
