The basis for the clarification comes against the backdrop of the university in March taking action against 92 of its affiliated colleges by cutting their student intake. However, the university did not publish the list of those colleges against whom it was meted out.
Against this, a complaint was lodged with the DVAC alleging that the university had not come out with the list over wrongdoings.
Reacting to this, Dr J Kumar, the university Registrar, claimed that the institution has not published the list since it would affect the future of students studying in those affiliated colleges. "All the allegations are wrong and baseless. All work was carried out in a transparent manner", he added. He added that the list of the colleges is available online and that people could verify it.
Kumar also said that a team is constantly monitoring all the affiliated colleges and its infrastructure development so that the studies of the students was not disturbed. "Our vice-chancellor has instructed that action could be taken against any college if the complaints are genuine," he added.
