After his ‘Namakku naame’ and Gram panchayat meetings, it was yet another first of its kind initiative by Stalin to ascertain the problems faced by the people and raise them in the Assembly.
Stalin tweeted “every voice matters and deserves to be heard. In the upcoming Assembly session, starting from June 28, DMK will ensure that our collective concerns — from water crisis and farmer distress to unemployment — will be discussed.”
He also asked the people to highlight issues in their constituencies that required immediate attention.
‘’What are the other issues (including your constituency issues) that you think requires the immediate attention of the Assembly?’’, he said. ‘’Email us at Voiceof TN@dmk.in. Let your voice drive our progress,” he said.
Stalin, perhaps, would be the first prominent leader in the State to elicit public views to initiate a debate in the Assembly. However, this is not the first time the DMK president has initiated a dialogue with the voters in such a fashion. Stalin had invited ideas from the voters to prepare manifestos ahead of the 2016 Assembly and 2019 Parliamentary polls as well.
