Remove CWMA chief Hussain, demands TTV
AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran on Wednesday demanded the removal of Central Water Commission (CWC) chairman Masood Hussain as the head of Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA), citing conflict of interest. In a statement he urged the DMK and the AIADMK to insist the Centre to appoint a full-time independent chairman to the CWMA.

The neighbouring Karnataka is no mood to share the due water for Tamil Nadu. Karnataka fails to understand that Cauvery water for TN is a riparian right and not a charity. The CWMA which met in Delhi has passed orders directing Karnataka to release water, but the CWMA’s interim chairman in his press conference states that Karnataka should release water if there are rains in Cauvery water catchment area. This statement exposes the vested interest of the CWMA.
