Mugilan to be produced in Karur court
Environmental activist T Mugilan, traced to Tirupati nearly six months after he went missing, in connection with a sexual assault case, was produced before a court here, which directed the police to produce him before a Karur court in 24 hrs.

Mugilan, traced by Tirupati police was brought to Chennai on Sunday and taken to hospital for treatment following complaints of chest pain after which he was produced before Egmore Metropolitan Magistrate Ravi.
When the CB-CID police filed a plea seeking permission to produce him before a court in Karur, where a woman had lodged a complaint against Mugilan stating that he had sexually assaulted her on the promise of marrying her, the court accepted it and asked the police to produce him before Karur court within 24 hours.
Mugilan went missing after holding press conference in Chennai, in which he blamed the police for the firing on Anti-Sterlite protestors in May last year and went missing in February this year. A habeas corpus plea was filed by the High Court and the CB-CID said clues were received about his whereabouts and Mugilan would be traced soon.
