In India, private persons are banned from it. Paul Antony has been in India since July 9 as a guide for 14 students who travelled with him.
The group toured Kerala and then Tamil Nadu, and was supposed to return to London via Abu Dhabi. While checking his bags, security personnel found the satellite phone.
He was detained and later produced before a court, which directed the police to allow him to leave if he was not involved in any undesirable activities using he phone.
Meanwhile, the students were allowed to fly as per the schedule.
