Talking to media, after inaugurating a vehicle campaign to enroll new members into his party in Ariyankuppam constituency, Saminathan said that the propaganda of Chief Minister V Narayanasamy that the BJP is threatening in Congress ruling States is not true.

On the other hand, Congress Ministers and MLAs are threatening the party functionaries and cadres. He cited the example of PCC president and PWD Minister A Namasivayam, the number two in the cabinet, boycotting the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Narayanasamy.

Saminathan charged that no schemes were implemented in Puducherry in the last three years of Congress rule. Those contesting the next elections in Congress ticket will be defeated and because of this fear, Namasivayam kept away from the cabinet meeting, Saminathan added. ‘’Really, the government is facing a threat from the Ministers,’’ he added.
