Tiruchy DIG pats team for quickly solving 17 murder cases

The Deputy Inspector General (Tiruchy Range) felicitated the competent cops who had uncovered as many as 17 murder cases and got the accused convicted, here on Saturday.

After having a successful conviction for the accused involved in the 17 murder cases that were pending for several years across the range in the districts of Tiruchy, Pudukkottai, Perambalur, Ariyalur and Karur. Special teams were formed to trace the cases.


Since the cases were very complicated, the investigating officers took it as a big challenge in their career and they got the investigation completed successfully and convicted the accused.


On witnessing the prompt completion of the cases, the DIG V Balakrishnan who was impressed by the remarkable achievement by the cops, invited the police and congratulated them.


He also invited the investigating officers, Court police, government pleaders and the witnesses.


Accordingly, the DIG felicitated the 17 officers, 17 court police and 30 witnesses and handed over meritorious certificates to them. Later, the DIG also took a group photograph with the participants.


He said that a similar programme has been organised to encourage people to be socially responsible persons.” The programmes would continue as the offences would be curbed only with the support of the public,” he said.
