“It is unconstitutional to link citizenship with religion. CAB 2019 is a direct assault on secularism, equality and fraternity -principles which are essential to any democracy. AIADMK once again stands completely exposed for its decision to support this immoral legislation,” said Stalin said in a statement.

Taking exception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that CAB should etched in golden books of history, Stalin wondered what was the nation heading to?

Condemning CM Edappadi K Palaniswami’s regime for supporting the communal agenda of the Modi to save his chair, Stalin said the BJP was abusing majority to advance its communal agenda and uprooting social and secular fundamentals of the Constitution instead of concentrating on unemployment and economic crisis.

Describing as “stone age” the history of Tamil Nadu during Palaniswami’s reign, Stalin sought to know how could one describe the ‘spineless’ AIADMK rule other than “slave regime” when it supported the CAB fearing the BJP? “Why should it be a separate party if AIADMK’s policy is BJP’s policy? Why should it bear the name of Anna?” Stalin wondered, advising the AIADMK leadership to dissolve the party.

From “Corrupt and murderous regime,” the AIADMK regime has become a traitor which betrays Tamils, the DMK president remarked.
