5 robbed at knifepoint in house
The police are searching for a group of men who barged into a house in the wee hours of Saturday and robbed laptops and mobile phones from a youth at knifepoint.

As many as five youth including three third-year engineering students were staying at a rented house in Potheri. On Saturday around 3 am someone knocked the door continuously. Prakash (21), a student, who was awake opened the door and found three men standing outside with their faces covered. They entered the house and threatened all of them at knifepoint and even attacked Prakash.
The group then robbed four laptops and smartphones from the house and escaped from the spot after threatening them to abstain from filing a police complaint.
The police said that the robbers did not take steal apart from laptops and smartphones. The youth filed a complaint with the Maraimalai Nagar police station who visited the spot and registered a case. Efforts are on to identify therobbers with the help of CCTV footage.
