Talking to reporters here, NTF founder president P Jainulabudeen alleged that the ‘fascist’ BJP, after enacting the CAA, was also trying to implement the National Registry of Citizens (NRC), conducted in Assam, in all parts of the country. Stating that there has been widespread protests by students and youth across the country against the CAA and the NRC, he said even the opposition parties have been staging strong protests to protect the democracy and sovereignty of the nation.

He also said an united Muslim community has also been staging protests demanding withdrawal of CAA and NRC.

Stating the NRC would severely affect the Muslims, he said since there was no signs of government climbing down on the issue, the NTF has started preparatory works to launch a ‘Non-cooperation Movement,’ by totally boycotting the NRC and theMuslims taking a pledge not to give any document to the government officials.

He said it was also proposed to adopt resolutions in jamaths all over the country and send it to the Union Home Ministry, alongwith the pledge, demanding withdrawal of CAA and not to implement the NRC.
