The officials will visit the institutions regularly and file a report to the higher officials on their inspection. The App, developed by Information Technology experts help verify school management functioning, hearing students’ grievances, taking note of teacher’s attendance and ensuring proper basic amenities in the campus.
This move was made by the School Education Department, after complaints on a few irregular officials providing false inspection reports did the rounds..
Speaking to DT Next, a senior official from the Directorate of School Education said,”During their inspection duty, they need to upload all the data collected in the App, monitored by the authorities in the district headquarters.”
The official added that the officials concerned will be given training before using the App. “They will use their smart-phones to download the App from the link to be shared with them officially and each inspection staff should get registered in the App before using it.”
He said in future, the government is also planning to issue biometric tablets to all the inspecting officials for this purpose.
