Aruna (24) of Teynampet, an engineering graduate and an IAS aspirant, married Ananda Rajaguru, an IPS officer from Dindigul and currently undergoing training in Kerala, two years ago. They, however, separated a few months later due to differences and have also applied for divorce. Meanwhile, Aruna lodged a complaint at the Teynampet all-women police station in December alleging threats from Ananda Rajaguru. She even moved the Madras High Court, seeking to direct the police to act on her complaint against him.

While an FIR has been registered based on her complaint, Aruna was reportedly summoned for an inquiry on Friday at the Deputy Commissioner's office here.

However, seeing Ananda Rajaguru also at the premises, an argument erupted between them. As the situation escalated, police officials intervened and succeeded in making them cool their tempers.

In her complaint, Aruna has alleged that Ananda Rajaguru has been harassing her and her parents over the last few months. The latter, however, refuted the allegations during the police inquiry. The police also reportedly tried to engage the duo in a peace talk which, however, went out of hand.
